More space for the town hall: Huber House can be demolished and an extension can be planned

The lack of space in Moosburg's town hall could soon come to an end: the adjacent Huber house on Herrnstrasse can be demolished and an extension building for the administration can be planned.

– Good news for the city of Moosburg: The Huber house on Herrnstrasse can now be demolished.

At the building committee meeting on Monday, Mayor Josef Dollinger announced that official approval for the demolition was now in place.

This means that the expansion of the town hall on Herrnstrasse can now be tackled in concrete terms.

The mayor said the process took some time because planning requirements had to be met first.

He expressly thanked the promoters of the old town, who also endorsed the demolition with a positive statement.

Visually, the empty building with the old, lowered blinds next to the well-kept town hall is not very nice to look at.

Before the city bought it, the State Office for the Preservation of Monuments had already determined that the house, which had been vacant for several years, was not a monument.

For the city of Moosburg, the area of ​​the Huber house is pretty much the only way to add on to the town hall and to be able to create the urgent need for additional jobs.

Elevator and escape route realizable

Above all, the extension now offers the opportunity to build an elevator and thus make all floors of the city administration barrier-free accessible.

With the extension, the legally required second escape route will be implemented for the city administration.

With the demolition permit, the hurdle that is probably the most difficult to assess in the construction process has been cleared.
