The International Organization for Migration announced that a boat crowded with illegal immigrants sank off the coast of Tunisia.
Reuters quoted the organization as saying in a statement that 76 people were missing, while the Tunisian coast guard forces rescued 24 others, noting that the boat that sank off the coast of Sfax had sailed from the shores of Zuwara in Libya.
In recent months, dozens of people drowned off the Tunisian coast, with the number of attempts to cross from Tunisia and Libya to Italy increased.
