Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, affirmed that the US occupation forces are plundering Syria's natural and agricultural resources and preventing stability there.
And the website (Russia Today) quoted Nebenzia as saying today in a session of the UN Security Council: “Syria has achieved great successes in confronting terrorism,” stressing that Washington’s occupation of large parts of Syrian territory prevents stability there.
Nebenzia indicated that "the United States continues to plunder the natural and agricultural resources that belong to the Syrian people," adding that "it is expanding its illegal trade in Syrian grain and oil and smuggling them outside the borders."
The Russian delegate explained that the United States "loots Syria's wheat and oil, which are the basis for addressing the energy and food crisis," noting that "civilians in the areas occupied by America in Syria live under unacceptable humanitarian conditions and the absence of accountability for crimes."
On the situation in Ukraine, Nebenzia confirmed that the Ukrainian prisoners admitted the existence of higher orders to shoot unarmed civilians, and said: "There are many confessions of captured soldiers of the Ukrainian armed forces that they have orders to shoot civilians."
