The two liquor stores are expected to operate under quarantine until at least the end of July.

A total of 64 quarantine hotels provide 23,000 rooms

According to the Food and Health Bureau, the current round of designated quarantine hotels will last for five months, from March 1 to July 31. As of today, there are 64 designated quarantine hotels in Hong Kong, providing about 23,000 rooms.

Another hotel, which was originally a community isolation facility and has been converted to designated quarantine purposes, has applied to formally join this round of the Designated Quarantine Hotel Scheme, and the service period can be extended to the end of July.

The government will relax entry quarantine measures from May 1, and will send a letter on April 25 to invite hotels or inns with valid licenses to apply for this round, the seventh round of the Designated Quarantine Hotel Scheme, in order to increase the supply of relevant rooms.

Hotels interested in participating in the scheme must obtain approvals from the Food and Health Bureau, Buildings Department, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, and Department of Health, etc., to ensure that the hotel's design, facilities and work processes meet the requirements of disease prevention and control.

The government announced on May 17 the first six hotels to join this round of designated quarantine hotels.
