The rifle club Buchenlaub Buch celebrated its 50th anniversary and also honored numerous founding members.

Buch am Buchrain – The riflemen from Buchenlaub Buch celebrated their 50th anniversary in glorious weather.

The festival began with an extraordinary service in the parish church of St. Martin.

Father Robin had previously visited the festival club for a shooting evening and tried his hand at the shooting range.

"He showed great marksmanship," said rifle champion Anton Feichtlbauer.

A lot of these personal impressions flowed into Father Robin's sermon.

The church was full, some flags filled the sanctuary.

Regina Maier and her choir took over the musical design of the service.

The clubs and guests, led by the Hohenlinden brass band, then moved to the Schützenheim.

The marksmen were also allowed to proudly wear their marksman chains after a long Corona break.

The shooting room was occupied by representatives of the shooting clubs in the Tading section and the local clubs from Buch.

Many founding members also attended.

After lunch, Feichtlbauer looked back on the highlights of the club's 50-year history.

So it was always necessary to move to other shooting ranges before the club found its home in its own shooting range.

The Buchenlaub shooters can record many sporting successes - with German championship titles and the promotion of the 1st air rifle team to the 2nd Bundesliga.

In addition, the club has hosted the shooting of the Schützengau Erding several times.

The Bucher not only shoot very successfully with rifles and pistols, the archers also train diligently and with success.

Gauschützenmeister Klaus Waldherr praised the club, which manages to combine society and sportiness in the best possible way.

Not only the Buch shooters use their 14 shooting ranges for training.

Many squads, both national and international, prepare for major competitions here.

In addition, many competitions of the 2nd Bundesliga and Bayernliga were held here.

The facility is also available for district championships, the final of the savings bank cup and much more.

A highlight of the day was honoring the founding members.

Johann Ostermeier, Josef Stiller, Johann Stanner, Anton Schrimpf, Franz Steutzger, Michael Rappold, Peter Rappold, Franz Ostermeier, Herbert Metzger, Franz Kunzlmann, Martin Kunstwadl, Hans Haberl, Alfons Heiner, Georg Eglseder, Georg Bondl, Anton Hietl were happy about this and Joseph Grasser.

The commitment of Georg Bondl, who has been active on the board since the association was founded, is particularly outstanding.
