With the participation of Syria, the activities of the Third Arab Competition Forum were launched in the Sultanate of Oman at the Oman Convention Center.
The Syrian side is represented by Engineer Jalil Ibrahim, Director General of the General Authority for Competition and Anti-Monopoly at the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, and his accompanying delegation, which was distinguished by active participation in the forum during the working sessions.
Ibrahim explained, during his intervention, what Syria was subjected to during the years of war and what it is subjected to today as a result of the unilateral coercive sanctions imposed on the Syrian people, which affect them directly and aim to stifle them and confiscate their decisions and aspirations.
On the sidelines of the conference, Ibrahim met the Omani Minister of Industry and Trade and a number of Arab delegations participating in the forum and discussed with them the joint bilateral relations.
This forum is held in cooperation with the Omani Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and the United Nations Economic and Social Committee "ESCWA", with the participation of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the International Trade Center.
