Within the framework of the work plan of the Syrian Trade Corporation to market agricultural products from farmers and sell to citizens directly, the Corporation’s branch in Lattakia Governorate today drove four cars loaded with garlic, onions and potatoes to a number of areas in the governorate.
Engineer Sami Halil, director of the Foundation's branch in Latakia, indicated to SANA's reporter that garlic, onions and potatoes are imported from Hama countryside and sold at competitive prices in the Foundation's branch halls and via mobile cars.
Hillel explained that the areas targeted for sale today are the two areas of Shreiteh, next to the Lebanese bakery and Al-Hamam Square in Lattakia, in front of the Sultan Hall in Jableh, and in the village of Qarfis in the Jableh countryside.
