The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has asked all Syrian missions and embassies abroad to take the necessary measures to put the Syrians in the context of Decree No. 7 to grant a general amnesty for terrorist crimes committed by Syrians before the date of April 30, 2022 and to announce the readiness of the mission or embassy to receive requests from those who believe that they are covered by the decree and wish Officially confirming that.
A Foreign Ministry statement today, which SANA received a copy of, said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has requested all of its missions, embassies and consulates abroad to work on taking the necessary measures to place Syrian citizens in the mission’s work area in the form of this decree and to announce the mission’s readiness to receive requests from those who believe that they are covered by the decree and wish to By formally confirming this by submitting an application through personal attendance.
The statement indicated that the ministry will, as soon as possible, verify whether the decree includes the names that will be sent through a platform created for this purpose in the Ministry of Interior, so that the missions can be duly provided the required.
The statement explained that this procedure comes in implementation of the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 7 of 2022, which grants a general amnesty for terrorist crimes committed by Syrians before the date of April 30, 2022, and given the presence of Syrians residing outside Syria who may be covered by the decree and wish to confirm this officially.
