The new book, which was recently issued by the House of “The Godfather,” came across 106 pages of medium pieces, which the poet adhered to in the vertical lines of poetry, continuing his poetic approach, which he began with his first book, “Photographer in the Night,” which was issued several months ago. The reader of the Diwan’s poems clearly shows him the feeling of the patriotic poet and the pain of what happened to the homeland at the hands of the oddities of horizons and the criminals of the age, and the ability of the country to rise and recover again as it rose after every calamity that happened to it since the dawn of history.

The poet diversifies with his poems, sometimes knocking on the door of wisdom, and then the door of sentimentality, spinning, the door of social affairs, the phenomena of technology and social communication that affected the minds of young people, and the state of unity that must bring together the clans of the homeland and its sons.

The poet Al-Afidli said in a statement to SANA’s reporter: I was keen to diversify the topics where the reader has fun and finds the new thing. For the time periods in which I wrote, indicating that the new version is filled with vertical poems, and there will be prose and activating poems in upcoming independent publications.

Regarding the poet’s keenness to use the classical poem in his new collection, while his previous collection was distinguished by Nabataean poems, he explained that popular poetry may be the closest to the soul and has a wide spread, but it remains within a specific framework and is governed by dialect. Every poet sang about it, because classical Arabic is widespread inside and outside the Arab world, unlike popular poetry.

The poet Al-Afidli celebrated the signing of his first book, “Photographer in Al-Asha” last November, which was printed in Dar Al-Arab in Damascus and contained 135 pages of center pieces and included fifty-six poems from heritage Nabati poetry that were dominated by national, emotional and social themes.
