(ANSA) - CAPRAIA (LIVORNO), 21 MAY - Two days on the island of Capraia (Livorno) dedicated to sustainable tourism, hospitality and local communities: this is the second edition of the ValorizzArcipelago review, scheduled for 23 and 24 May and held in scope of the European project Winter Med on the islands of the Mediterranean, which sees AnciToscana as leader.
On this occasion, the signing of a memorandum of understanding for sustainable development in the Mediterranean islands is planned.
'The value of hospitality, of the land and of the sea' is the title of the initiative, which offers a wide panorama of interventions and an unprecedented traveling program through the places of the island, to discover biodiversity and the stories of the residents.
The Winter Med project, explains a note, aims to provide a transnational strategy to support sustainable tourism throughout the year in the destinations of the Mediterranean islands;
involves partners from 6 countries (Italy, Greece, Spain, France, Croatia, Cyprus) led by the Association of Tuscan Municipalities and is composed of a mix of public authorities, chambers of commerce, development agencies, sector research bodies and EU.
