The name is pompous: the "National Advisory Commission for a New Republic" was created on Friday.
The one who will have the mission to propose a new draft Constitution with a view to a referendum, according to the will of the President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed, is already the subject of criticism.
The National Advisory Commission for a New Republic is made up of three committees.
The first, in charge of economic and social affairs, must bring together three members of unions (agricultural, employees and employers) and two of NGOs (the League of Human Rights and the National Union of Tunisian Women).
The president of the bar association, fervent supporter of the president, will chair it.
The Legal Affairs Advisory Committee should be made up of the Deans of Law, Legal and Political Science.
Finally, the national dialogue committee will bring together all the members of the two committees.
