Israel has updated the United States that it is the one behind the assassination of the senior Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards earlier this week, the New York Times reported tonight (Wednesday).
According to the report, an Israeli source sent a message to the Americans, according to which "the purpose of the assassination was to send a warning to Iran to stop the Quds Force operations."
As you may recall, Siad Houdai was killed by five bullets fired from two men who arrived on a motorcycle in the heart of Tehran.
He was reportedly involved in planning terrorist attacks against Israel.
An eyewitness to the shooting told the Fars news agency: "A few minutes before the shooting, I saw a car that blocked the entrance to the alley and did not allow anyone to pass. Cars were forced to overtake the street where the shooting took place."
A neighbor who lives nearby said: "When I heard the shooting, I turned around and saw one of the shooters, I was standing on a nearby roof and I saw everything."
Another eyewitness told the news agency that he heard a shooting that sounded like an explosion of a gas tank in the alley and that he was unaware that it was a shooting.
"I continued walking down the alley and found the martyr dying in his vehicle," the eyewitness said.
According to eyewitnesses at the agency, the assassins reported that they had blocked the entrance to the street using another car and used silencers.
