A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers to the northern South China Sea and the coast of southern China.
The weather forecast for Hong Kong today is mainly cloudy with a few showers and sunny periods during the day. The maximum temperature in the urban area is about 29 degrees, and the New Territories are one or two degrees higher, with mild to moderate southeasterly winds.
The Observatory looks forward to a few showers in the next day or two.

The Transport Department stated that due to emergency rail repairs, eastbound tram services between Nan Hong Street and Shau Kei Wan Terminus and westbound tram services between Shau Kei Wan Terminus and Hoi Fu Street were suspended.
Due to urgent drainage work, the express and central lines of On Lok Road (towards Ma Wang Road) in Yuen Long near Wang Chau Road have been closed, and motorists can only use the slow line.
