15-year-old from Bavaria missing: he never entered the school bus – the police are asking for information

A 15-year-old student from Nuremberg has been missing since Tuesday morning.

The police are asking the public for help.

Update from May 24, 8:30 p.m

.: As the police announced on Tuesday evening, the 15-year-old, who had been reported missing in the morning (see initial report), has now been found.

He was found safe in the city of Nuremberg, the police said.

The public search was thus revoked.

First report from May 24th:

Nuremberg – Since Tuesday morning (May 24th) there has been no trace of him: the police of Central Franconia are looking for a 15-year-old from the Nuremberg district of Suernersbühl.

The boy left his parents' home near Jansen Bridge at around 7 a.m. to take the school bus to school, as he does every weekday, police said.

According to current knowledge, however, he never got on the bus and he never arrived at school either.

"Since he has a lack of orientation due to an illness, it cannot be ruled out that he is wandering around in the city of Nuremberg and may need help," said the police.

The officials are therefore asking for the help of the population and have issued a public search.

It is described as follows:

• 15 years old, about 150 cm tall, slim build, longer blond hair

• He was wearing light blue jeans, a dark blue jogging jacket, brown shoes and a green Minecraft baseball cap

• He was carrying a school backpack

The police are asking people who can provide information about the whereabouts of the missing person or who have met the boy to contact the police emergency number 110 as a matter of urgency.

A 15-year-old girl has also been missing in Schweinfurt since last week.
