The 9-euro ticket is valid from June 1st – but only on local transport.

Where could you go from Bavaria and above all: How long does it take?

An overview.

Munich – The 9-euro ticket from the traffic light relief package will be valid from June 1st.

Anyone can use it to travel throughout Germany for only 9 euros – but only on local transport.

The ticket is not valid on the ICE, so you may have to bring some time with you.

9 euro ticket in Bavaria: More than 15 hours from Munich to Sylt

A quick search on the Deutsche Bahn website reveals that a journey from Munich to Sylt takes 15 hours and 30 minutes, six changes are shown (journey on June 1 at 7:05 a.m.).

The 9 euro ticket is valid from June 1st to August 31st.

It is valid on S-Bahn, buses, trams and subways, as well as on regional trains and regional trains operated by Deutsche Bahn and on regional trains from other providers (Go-Ahead, Bayerische Regiobahn, Alex).

9-euro ticket in Bavaria: cheap ticket is also valid to Salzburg and Kufstein

The 9-euro ticket is only valid in Germany, it ends at the last train station in the Federal Republic.

However, there are exceptions.

The BRB runs its Chiemgau-Inntal network to Kufstein and Salzburg.

The cheap ticket is valid until there.

A trip to Salzburg is also possible with the 9-euro ticket.

If you drive from Munich to Salzburg with the ticket, the journey takes one hour and 53 minutes.

You have to change once at Ostbahnhof.

The journey from the Bavarian state capital to Kufstein takes one hour and 26 minutes (also with a change at Munich Ostbahnhof).
