A fire broke out today (Thursday) in an open area in Jerusalem, near 18 Hanurit Street in the Kiryat Menachem Ir neighborhood.
Five fire crews were rushed to the scene and are working to put out the fire.
Residential buildings and schools in the area were evacuated by police for fear of the fire spreading.
The report of the fire was received around 1:00 PM at the Jerusalem Fire and Rescue Control Center.

Last week, a 12-year-old boy was seriously injured in a fire that ignited several suspects in a girl's shop in the Negev.
