Ahead of the flags march: Police are stepping up forces in the Old City and Temple Mount
The factions in the Gaza Strip today called on the Palestinians to reach the Temple Mount en masse tomorrow, in response to the police allowing the flag parade to pass through the Nablus Gate.

The senior official noted that Bar-Lev told the American ambassador that the parade was not a defiance move, but a tradition that had existed for 30 years and that for the vast majority of the years the parade took place on the same route and outline.
"My father, as deputy chief of staff, gave the order to liberate Jerusalem - this is our capital," Bar-Lev told the US ambassador.
Meanwhile, Hamas and Islamic Jihad will hold an emergency meeting tonight. Hamas escalates if the march takes place, police announced that forces would be deployed throughout Jerusalem and at the Nablus Gate ahead of the march.

It was decided that 3,000 police officers would secure the parade that would take place in the center of Jerusalem, through the Nablus Gate and Hagai Street.

The secretary general of the Islamic Jihad organization, Ziad Nahala, reinforced Haniyeh's remarks, adding that "we need to be on alert, fulfill our mission and declare to the whole world that we have nothing but Jerusalem."
