The next day, racquet in hand, she hits her first balls.
The love of the game will never leave her.
After having dominated women's tennis in 2004 by becoming the first French world number one then by winning Roland-Garros and Wimbledon back to back in 2006, Amélie Mauresmo finally retired in December 2009. tennis and even became in 2014 the first woman to train a man, the Scot Andy Murray.
For Code source, Éric Bruna, journalist with the Parisian sports department, looks back on the life of Amélie Mauresmo, a pioneer of French sport who is now director of Roland-Garros.
