Washington-Sana
A number of statements and insinuations were recently issued about the United States preparing provocative plans that include the Black Sea, and between the Kyiv authorities’ recognition of the preparation of hostilities against Russia and the American media’s launch of a propaganda campaign to justify what Washington is planning under the guise of alleged humanity, the American administration has moved, according to the World Socialist website, to a new path. From the escalation of the Ukraine crisis.
Adviser to the Ukrainian Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko announced a few days ago that the United States, which has pumped billions of dollars to support the Kyiv authorities, is planning to carry out military actions against Russia in the Black Sea, and the pretext for the new American escalation is what he called a “plan to break the siege” on the ports, stressing, according to the site, that there are discussions about supplying His country is equipped with Harpoon anti-ship missile systems and other naval missiles with a range of up to 300 km.
While the US Department of Defense was quick to deny the fact that it was planning hostile military operations against Russia in the Black Sea, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin's statements last Monday about providing Ukraine with Harpoon systems through an intermediary, Denmark, confirm the United States' intention to escalate the situation further, according to the site.
The site indicated that the military escalation on the part of America was accompanied, as usual, with a major propaganda campaign, as the American media began publishing analyzes of the American military intervention in the Black Sea and marketed alleged justifications such as the global food crisis and the opening of ports to global food shipments.
The American newspaper The Washington Post was at the head of the media that launched disinformation campaigns to justify the expected US escalation, as it claimed that Russia is responsible for disrupting wheat and corn supply chains in an editorial described by the World Socialist website as incredible hypocrisy, referring to the fact that it is the United States that uses starvation as a weapon. in its foreign policy.
The site recalled the statements of the US Secretary of Agriculture, Earl Butz in 1974, in which he said that food is now one of the main tools in the negotiations we conduct. His counterpart John Block said in 1980 that food is the greatest weapon the United States has, and this is what actually happened, as Washington used starvation. And the siege as a weapon against the peoples who reject its orders.
In this context, the website mentioned several examples in which Washington has imposed unilateral coercive measures on countries such as Syria, Iran, Iraq, Cuba and others, and the use of food and medicine as a weapon against those who oppose its dictates.
Returning to Washington’s attempts to intervene in the Black Sea, the website clarified that the latter represents a vital point in the American war plans, as it links Europe, Russia and the Middle East, and contains important reserves of gas and oil. It is also a major point for oil and gas pipelines that connect Europe and Asia.
The site also referred to the US intervention in Taiwan and attempts to escalate with China, considering that such US provocations are dangerous and threaten the entire Asia-Pacific region.
The website indicated that the US plans for a military escalation against China existed before Joe Biden reached the White House, but the latter was pushing them quickly, and his move to withdraw from Afghanistan was only a step towards repositioning US forces to serve the planned provocations against Moscow and Beijing.
