An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale hit the Hojdak region, north of Kerman province, southeast of Iran.
Majid Saeedi, the official of the Crisis Cell in Kerman Governorate, said in a statement today that the epicenter of the earthquake was in a mountainous area and far from residential areas, which reduces the possibility of losses in the area.
An earthquake measuring 5.5 degrees on the Richter scale struck last Monday, Sistan-Baluchestan province, southeast of Iran.
