The movement attacked the prime minister and the ministers: "None of the commitments has been implemented" • and warned "severe damage to the quality of government as well as to the broad public interest of all citizens of the State of Israel"

In a letter issued today (Thursday) by the Movement for Quality of Government, the movement demanded that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and government ministers implement their promise to shorten the shifts of interns and blamed: .

Earlier this week, the State Attorney's Office once again asked the court for an extension of time in order to formulate a solution and a response to a petition seeking to delay the shortening of shifts, due to a lack of budget.

The movement turned to Bennett, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz, Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman, Economy Minister Orna Barbibai and Gali spokesman Harav-Myara, demanding that the ministers' commitments be made to shorten the shifts of interns.

The movement's members added in their letter the decision of the Labor Court in Be'er Sheva from the end of last April, in which Judge Yael Engelberg ruled that "there is no dispute that the arrangement to shorten the shifts is not applicable," and therefore issued a temporary order suspending the permit.

The members of the movement stated in their letter that "the amendment to the permit is inapplicable since the resources required for its implementation have not been transferred - thus forcing the court to issue a temporary order suspending the permit. The remaining severity in this matter stems from "Officials for the implementation and promotion of the policy regarding shortening the shifts of interns - and this when there is no clear reason for violating the same government obligations, which are also anchored in the employment permit and other decisions and statements of the relevant ministers."

In the letter, members of the movement quoted the words of Health Minister Horowitz from October 2021 who said: "For me and for the management of the entire Ministry of Health, stopping the outline without it being fully completed is not a possibility."

Responded: "None of the commitments were implemented - not the commitments of the Minister of Economy in amending the permit for overtime with the consent of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Health; neither the detailed commitments set out by the Minister of Health in his letter; .

The Movement for the Quality of Government summed up the appeal as follows: "This serious damage to the public protest, by scattering administrative promises that the decision-makers do not seem to intend to meet, amounts to a serious damage to the quality of government and the broad public interest of all citizens of Israel."
