The Chinese Space Agency announced today that most of the debris of the Chinese Long March 7 Y5 carrier rocket, which was launched this month, has burned up upon re-entry into the atmosphere.
"The vast majority of the rocket burned up during its re-entry into the atmosphere, and the debris fell into the sea, and the center of the landing area was at 37.5 degrees north latitude and 24.2 degrees east longitude," Xinhua quoted the space agency as saying in a statement.
The Long March 7 Y5 carrier rocket carrying the Tianzhou 4 spacecraft was launched from the Wenchang Satellite Launch Center in Hainan Province, south China on May 10. The Tianzhou 4 ship was carrying three types of supplies, which are living supplies for six months For the three astronauts on the upcoming mission Shenzhou 14 and additional parts for the maintenance of the space station and space research equipment.
