Today, Homs firefighting cadres put out two fires that broke out in the city of Homs and its countryside, as a result of a fire that broke out in dry herbs and agricultural crops, without recording losses.
Brigadier General Ghiath Akil, director of civil defense in Homs, told SANA reporter that the branch’s operations room received a report about the outbreak of a fire near agricultural crops in the Al-Qusayr area in the southwestern countryside of Homs. And then extinguish it and carry out the process of cooling and monitoring to prevent its regeneration.
He pointed out that the firefighting cadres also dealt with a fire that broke out in the Al-Hal market area in Homs, which affected dry grass and ornamental trees, and was able to put it out.
He called on sane citizens to be careful and not to light fires or throw cigarette butts to prevent fires.
