The applicant duo Johannes Rabl/Manuel Neuer has come a good deal closer to taking over the Forsthaus Valepp.

The Schliersee building committee approved the plans.

Schliersee – There had been a lot of discussion about the project, also nationwide after the co-investor Manuel Neuer became known.

Together with Johannes Rabl, the national soccer goalkeeper would like to turn the Forsthaus Valepp back into a traditional mountain inn, as Rabl repeatedly emphasizes.

Neuer is serious about it, said Rabl in the Schliersee building committee.

"I'm not going to stand there for three hours and let myself be filmed and then do something completely different," Rabl quoted his partner as saying.

He cannot and does not want to afford such a loss of face.

Rabl: "Car-free would be our greatest dream"

The majority of the building committee agreed to the revised plans.

They envisage the demolition of the toilet annex and the construction of an operations building about nine meters from the forester's lodge.

It should be 10 by 17 meters, ridge height 5.70 meters with a flat ten degree roof pitch, kitchen and storage rooms on the ground floor, four staff rooms on the upper floor.

Also planned: a beer garden with 160 square meters, a dance floor, a good 30 parking spaces and a connecting passage to the forester's house, which is also to be extended in the rear part.

The carport in the northern area is to be upgraded to a multi-purpose building - also for celebrations.

The content of the application for a preliminary ruling is significantly reduced compared to the plans presented in December.

The applicant duo decided not to extend the carport,

the company building is smaller and lower and, thanks to its more distant location, gives the forester more prominence, which is also welcomed by the monument protection at the district office.

The expansion now remains under a third, which is usually considered allowable in the exterior.

"I can agree with that without hesitation," said Mayor Franz Schnitzenbaumer (CSU).

Even Gerhard Waas (Greens), previously a harsh critic, was satisfied - at least with the structural part.

The traffic continues to give him headaches.

He would like the area to be car-free.

Like Host Teckhaus (PWG), he therefore voted no.

Rabl on this: "Car-free would also be our big dream, but that can only be done step by step." Even now - even without an inn - there would be plenty of cars driving into the Valepp.

Schnitzenbaumer also recalled that the road in question was in Rottach's municipal area and was owned by the state forests.

The advisory board is to accompany implementation and operation

The preliminary decision application now goes to the district office, the actual building application then comes back to the committee.

The budget committee of the state parliament still has to approve the takeover in heritable building rights.

As is well known, there is a petition that wants to prevent exactly that.

An advisory board should then accompany the implementation and the operation, as Schnitzenbaumer said.

The Bavarian Cultural Heritage Foundation, which last looked at the forester's house, also wants to participate in this, but refuses to take it over (we reported).
