The police classified the case as "obtaining property by deception" and handed it over to the third unit of the Yau Tsim Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up. No arrests have been made so far.

The police pointed out that the scammers' job advertisements are advertised as "quick money", "high-level labor", "sunrise pay" or "work from home", and there are no special requirements for the applicant's age, education and resume.

At the same time, fraudsters will not mention the actual position or job content when posting job advertisements or SMS promotions, and only provide instant messaging software or mobile phone number contact methods.

The police remind the public to call the "Anti-Scam Hotline" 18222 if they have any doubts about text messages of unknown origin.
