Greece has submitted a complaint to the United Nations against the Turkish regime for violating its sovereignty over the islands located in the eastern Aegean Sea and for adopting a hostile policy that would destabilize the region.
The media reported that the letter addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, and signed by the permanent representative of Greece to the international organization, Maria Theophili, included an official call on Turkey to “stop questioning Greece’s sovereignty over the Aegean islands, especially through false and baseless assertions.” Legally".
The letter added, "Turkey's dangerous actions include frequent flying of combat aircraft over Greek territory in violation of international law."
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis recently called on the Turkish regime to stop violating Greek airspace with its combat aircraft, noting that "the provocations by Turkey are unacceptable."
