Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh stressed that the US administration, as the sponsor of terrorist organizations, spares no effort to support and protect them.
In response to the sanctions imposed by Washington yesterday on Iranian Revolutionary Guard officials, the Iranian news agency IRNA quoted the Foreign Ministry’s spokesman as saying that “Iran and its official and legal armed forces, especially the Quds Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, have always been a nightmare for terrorist and extremist groups in the region, and the administration has imposed Over the past years, the United States has imposed unjust and illegal sanctions on the Iranian people and their children, just as it carried out, during the era of former President Donald Trump, the assassination of Commander Qassem Soleimani.
Khatibzadeh added that the administration of Joe Biden, despite its deceptive statements, pursues the same failed policy and the recent measure of imposing a new embargo on Iran is another evidence of the bad intentions of the American administration towards the Iranian people and the continuation of the policy of maximum pressure, pointing out that the unilateral embargo is a flagrant violation of international laws and aims only To create more trouble for the Iranian people and the region and fuel unrest.
Khatibzadeh stressed that these methods will not affect the will of the Iranian people and government to pursue lofty goals, including eliminating terrorism from the region, stressing that Iran has the right to take the appropriate response within the framework of international laws.
