The delegates of the European Union to the Security Council affirmed that the plans of the Israeli occupation to establish thousands of settlement outposts in the occupied Palestinian territories constitute a flagrant violation of international law and United Nations resolutions.
The delegates of Ireland, France, Albania and Estonia stressed in a joint statement on behalf of the European Union in the Security Council that the declaration of the occupation authorities to establish four thousand settlement units in the West Bank constitutes a clear violation of international law.
They pointed out that the establishment of three outposts in the occupied city of Jerusalem, in addition to the continuation of demolitions and evictions in the village of Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, will lead to the forced displacement of more than 1,200 Palestinians.
