Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stressed that the current situation requires more than ever that the Belarusian forces be fully prepared to respond to any military attacks on Belarus.
"The exercise of military pressure on us will be carried out through Poland, Lithuania and Latvia through NATO forces stationed there, as well as by maintaining and escalating military actions in Ukraine," Lukashenko said during a meeting of the Defense Ministry on issues of ensuring the country's military security today.
Lukashenko considered it necessary to reconsider the approach to modernization of the Belarusian armed forces in accordance with the ongoing military actions in Ukraine.
