Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that the International Atomic Energy Agency is in contact with Moscow and Kiev about organizing the visit of its representatives to the (Zaporozhye) atomic station, which is now under the control of Russia.
"The agency is in contact with the Ukrainian and Russian sides about organizing this visit," TASS news agency quoted Peskov as saying, in response to a journalist's question about whether the International Atomic Energy Agency is going to Russia with a request to secure its access to this nuclear power station, noting that organizing this visit requires a settlement. A series of technical and logistical issues are currently being coordinated details of the point of entry, from which territory, through any of the checkpoints, and on any means of transport.
The Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, announced earlier today that his agency's inspectors do not currently have access to this station, but the agency hopes to enter the Zaporozhye nuclear power station (to prevent accidents or the loss of several kilograms of nuclear material).
