Everything is getting more expensive – even taking a taxi!

On June 1st, a new taxi tariff regulation will come into force for the district of Ebersberg.

The district office has now pointed this out.

Ebersberg

- The basic price for taxi rides will be increased from 3.70 euros to 4.80 euros and thus adjusted to the standard flat rate for the industry and surrounding districts, according to a statement from the authority.

Price increase for taxis: kilometer price in future at 2.10 euros

The kilometer price for taxis will in future be 2.10 euros.

The grading according to day and night time between 1.60 euros and 1.95 euros, which was previously calculated depending on the length of the journey, is no longer applicable.

A moderate increase and adjustment to neighboring districts will also apply to surcharges, for example for large taxis or luggage transport, from June.

The district office set the new taxi tariffs in its state function.

The taxi companies, the IHK and the taxi association were consulted in advance and the new values were coordinated with the calibration office.

Increase in taxi prices in Ebersberg: last price change seven years ago

The last price change was made seven years ago.

"Inflation, fuel prices, higher minimum wage are some of the reasons why another one has now become necessary," said the district office.

The taxi has an important function in local public transport, since the companies are subject to a transport obligation.

It would therefore also have to take on journeys that are not very lucrative because, for example, the journeys are short.

Price increase at the taxi rank: In future around 20 euros more to Munich Airport

Two examples of how the increase affects: According to the district office, a taxi ride from Glonn to Ebersberg will cost 46 euros in the future, instead of the previous 37.23 euros.

Starting in June, you will pay EUR 117.40 from Grafing to Munich Airport instead of EUR 98.78.
