The President of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushlin, announced that holding a referendum on joining Russia would be appropriate after the Donetsk and Lugansk republics reached their borders.

"A referendum to join Russia would be appropriate after the lands of Donetsk and Luhansk were completely liberated and they reached their constitutional borders," Pushlin said in an interview with RIA Novosti news agency today.

Pushlin added, "Before preparing for the referendum in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, it is necessary to prepare the authorities and infrastructure and arrange a normal life for the people," noting that the residents of the liberated lands in the Kherson, Zaporozhye and Kharkov regions trust their future and link it to Russia.

The President of the Donetsk Republic pointed to the importance of accelerating the military operation in the north of the republic, noting that the Kyiv forces had cut off water from the cities of Donetsk, Makievka and Gorlovka, and it was possible that they would explode other hydroelectric facilities.

For her part, an official in the Donetsk People's Republic, Daria Morozova, announced that she was receiving complaints from residents of the areas controlled by Kyiv about the crimes of militants and the Ukrainian authorities there.

"We are ready to receive complaints from residents of the territory of the republic temporarily controlled by Ukraine, and they do come as people report incidents of violations of their rights and freedoms by the Ukrainian authorities and war crimes committed by units of the armed formations of Ukraine stationed in their cities," Morozova said.

Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, and Russian President Vladimir Putin set its goal of protecting people who were subjected to genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years.
