This is how Russian diplomat Boris Bondarev comments on his resignation from his post as adviser to the Russian mission to the UN in Geneva.
The 41-year-old announced his departure on Monday in a statement on Facebook and LinkedIn.
According to his own words, he is the first Russian diplomat in the world to publicly announce his resignation from the diplomatic service.
When questioned, Boris Bondarev explains that he submitted his letter of resignation to the ambassador on Monday morning.
He may have made a "
stupidity
", but the decision has matured in him since February 24.
Boris Bondarev describes the extent of his despair and remorse in his statement on Facebook and LinkedIn.
He writes: “
During my twenty years of diplomatic career, I have experienced various reversals in Russian foreign policy, but I have never felt more shame for my country than on February 24 of this year.
