The Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian forces targeted 62 command posts in Ukraine, 407 areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment, 47 artillery positions and 3 warehouses, with rocket and artillery shells.
"Russian forces managed to destroy the Ukrainian electronic intelligence center, including 11 combat crew members and 15 foreign specialists who arrived with the guards in the Nikolaev region near Dnepropetrovsk," the ministry's spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov said in a briefing this morning.
Konashenkov added that the Russian missiles targeted 48 areas for the concentration of personnel, military equipment, two artillery batteries and an ammunition depot near Nikolaevka and Berestovoy in the Donetsk People's Republic.
Konashenkov pointed out that Russian aviation bombed 49 areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment, crews of mortar positions and an artillery depot, 350 Ukrainian extremist nationalists were eliminated and 96 units of weapons and equipment were disabled.
The Russian air defense shot down a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter over Gusarovka in the Kharkov region, and a Ukrainian military transport plane carrying ammunition and weapons near Karimedovka in the Odessa region.
Konashenkov announced the destruction of units and equipment of the 10th Ukrainian Offshore Offensive Brigade near the Pokrovsk station in the Donetsk People's Republic during its deployment after it arrived to reinforce the Ukrainian group in the Donbass.
