The head of the Russian Medical and Biological Agency, Dr. Veranika Skvortsova, announced that the agency's experts have developed a vaccine to treat cancer.
The Russia Today website quoted Skvortsova as saying in a statement that this vaccine is a therapeutic preparation based on the study of antibodies, that is, specific proteins for a specific tumor, and the results of the test of the first model for colorectal cancer on experimental animals showed an 80% improvement in survival.
She indicated that 99.9 percent of the cancerous tumor can be removed through surgical operations, while the remaining single cells in the body can multiply again, while this vaccine helps reduce the size of the tumor and even remove it completely.
Skvortsova indicated that the agency is currently working to obtain the approval of the Russian Ministry of Health to conduct clinical trials on humans for this vaccine.
