SOS Animals is
launching a mass recruitment campaign
for homeless dogs and cats in Israel.
In a conversation with Israel Today, the association stated that the situation of homeless dogs and cats in Israel is very bad and every day there are many dozens of requests to help injured and sick dogs and cats. The State of Israel has no budget and no desire to care. You receive hundreds of dogs and cats every month. Many of them also need medical treatment. Not many know but from the moment a dog or cat is admitted to us, and until they reach the warm and safe home, it often involves high medical costs, including: days of hospitalization, surgeries, medications, tests "Photographs and other medical services. In the last three months alone, the costs of treatment in the various clinics have exceeded NIS 520,000!", The association said.

To illustrate the situation, the association tells the story of the bitch too and the dedicated care she received at the association: "Too, today a three-month-old bitch, healthy and ready to find the perfect home for her, was not always in this condition. Hungry, full of ticks and fleas and without appetite. She received initial treatment the day she arrived and after her condition did not improve she underwent further tests and we found out that she had a 'fur' which is a dangerous and highly contagious puppy disease. Fell ill (seven arrived, and six contracted the disease). We fought for everyone's lives for many days, they received plasma doses, were treated in clinics and Beit Dagan Hospital. Unfortunately two of the brothers did not recover and died of the disease. "SOS lives every month. The costs of treatment only in uniform and its brother cost the association over NIS 40,000!"
"Medi is the last puppy from this un adoptive launcher and she will be happy (along with a volunteer) to tell her story, and that of so many other unfortunate puppies and dogs who need us volunteers, activists and associations to change their harsh reality."
