The Coalition's Challenge: The State is Expected to Respond to the Evacuation in Chumash in the Future, with No Deadline | Israel today

The Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense say that Chumash should be evacuated, while other elements in the coalition claim the exact opposite.

The Coalition's Challenge:

The state's response to the Supreme Court's appeal regarding the evacuation of Chumash was postponed from today (Thursday) to Sunday, thus giving the coalition a few more hours of silence.

The answer has not yet been submitted, but the state is expected to reply that the eviction laws will be executed at a time determined by the political echelon, without specifying an exact date for the eviction date.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said this week that "there is a law that states that construction in localities that were part of the cleanup is illegal, currently the law is not different."

Defense Minister Bnei Gantz has also announced that Chumash will be evacuated.

On the other side of the coalition, Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked said at the Gush Etzion leadership conference at the kibbutz that "we are doing everything to ensure that Chumash is not evacuated, the continued existence of the yeshiva there is symbolic and significant."

In a recording published in "Israel Today", Deputy Minister Kara said that "everything is being done so that the meeting in Chumash will not be vacated."

The organization "Up to Here", which is leading the prevention of the PA's takeover of Area C, stated that "a reality in which the Israeli government seeks to evacuate Chumash is not particularly acceptable on days when we mark the liberation of Jerusalem and parts of Judea and Samaria.

The Israeli government must act to regulate the settlement as soon as possible, while repealing the Disengagement Law immediately. "

Yigal Brand, director general of the Betar movement's world leadership, said following the Defense Minister's expected response to the High Court regarding the Chumash settlement that “the whole discussion about the Chumash settlement is a mistake in the first place.

Instead of discussing when and whether to evacuate, the evil and delusional distortion of the Disengagement Law should be corrected as soon as possible and repealed immediately.

It is not only permissible to sit in the Chumash, but to urgently allow families to settle there.

Normal does not evacuate settlers from its land.

The Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people, and precisely on Jerusalem Day, 55 years after our return to these areas, we must maintain Israeli sovereignty in them. "
