Yesterday, two days later, her husband Joe Garcia died.
The official cause is a heart attack, but there is no doubt that he was heartbroken by the incident and might have been alive today if his wife had not died.
"He died as a result of the mourning," his family member tweeted.
Joe has been married to Irma for 24 years.
They fell in love with high school and leave behind 4 children.
"I have no words to express what we feel," tweeted Irma's nephew.
"Please pray for us."
An investigation on Thursday revealed that there was no guard at the school at all, contrary to initial allegations that there was an armed man trying to prevent the killer from entering.
Also, videos were posted of parents begging the police to come in and storm the classroom in vain.
Among other things, it was reported that the police handcuffed some of the parents after they tried to advance on their own into the school.
Were we wrong?
