According to UGC data, affected by the epidemic, among the approximately 22,000 interviewed graduates in 2019/20, the number of full-time employment dropped significantly to 15,540, or 62.6% from 68.5%.

Compared to the past decade, the number of business professionals has fallen the most, followed by sales and servers, journalists and writers, accountants and auditors, which have also fallen significantly.

Compared with the overall trend, the number of occupations related to education, medical care, engineering and information technology increased.

However, due to the impact of the epidemic, employment increased in only 6 of the 23 occupational categories, including teaching and systems analysts and computer programmers.

In terms of salaries, the salaries of graduates related to medical care and education have continued to rise under the epidemic, with an average monthly salary of 40,000 and 27,000 respectively.

The monthly salaries of other graduates such as business, social sciences, liberal arts, etc. fell by 1% to 4%, reaching 18,000 to 20,000 yuan.
