The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, said this Wednesday on his Twitter account that he will not attend the Summit of the Americas organized by the United States.

In addition, he thanked the countries that "have raised their voices against exclusions," referring to the presidents who have said they will not attend if all the countries of the continent are not invited, one of them being Andrés Manuel López Obrador, from Mexico.

Here, the keys to understand what it is and how it works

And he added, “we appreciate the brave and dignified position of the countries that have raised their voice against exclusions.

We share the position of the leaders of the region who have firmly claimed that everyone must be invited on an equal footing.

I can assure you that in no case will I attend.”

The list of guests for the summit to be held in Los Angeles from June 6 to 10 is not yet known.
