The storms of the past few days initially seem to be over, they say goodbye together with the warm temperatures.
So early summer is taking a break in Germany.
A maximum of 23 degrees is possible in the next few days, at the end of the week the 20-degree mark will be cracked less and less, as the German Weather Service in Offenbach announced.
On Tuesday there can be short thunderstorms from Emsland to the North Sea, stormy gusts are possible.
Otherwise it will be cloudy at times in the north and north-west, with some rain falling again and again.
Things don't look much better from south of the Danube to the Bavarian Forest.
The temperatures on Tuesday and the two following days are between 17 and 23 degrees.
Heavy rain, hail and hurricane-like gusts in Germany

The thunderstorms have mostly moved out of Germany.
The German Weather Service (DWD) warns of heavy rain, small-grain hail and gusts of wind between 70 and 85 km/h in an area between Schweinfurt, Nordhausen, Bad Hersfeld and Weimar until midnight.
Around Passau and south of Bad Reichenhall, heavy rain, small-grain hail and heavy gusts of wind up to 90 km/h can occur until 11:30 p.m.
In the northwest between Meppen and Leer there can be heavy rain and gusts of wind around 70 km/h until 11.30 p.m.
Thunderstorms over Germany: large parts of the south and west are affected by the severe weather warning
Update from May 23, 8:05 p.m .:
There is now a risk of severe storms around Munich.
Here, the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts heavy rain, small-grain hail and hurricane-like gusts of up to 110 km/h until 9 p.m.
Overall, thunderstorms can be expected here until midnight.
In an arc from Oberstdorf and Rosenheim to the north of Nuremberg, there can also be heavy rain, hail and hurricane-like gusts of around 115 km/h until midnight.
Heavy rain, hail and heavy gusts of wind up to hurricane-like gusts of 95 to 110 km/h are to be expected in the western part of Baden-Württemberg in the south to Lake Constance and in the north to Tauberbischofsheim.
This also applies to Saarland, most of Rhineland-Palatinate and the area between Aachen and Bonn.
Almost all of Hesse (apart from an eastern strip) and the north, east and west of North Rhine-Westphalia are also threatened.
In addition, the Lower Saxony tip around Osnabrück is affected.

The German Weather Service (DWD) is currently issuing warnings for the entire south and west.
The edge of the Alps between Bad Reichenhall and Ravensburg and a wide strip up to Nördlingen are particularly affected - here there can be heavy rain, hail and hurricane-like gusts of around 115 km/h at least until midnight.
Around Rosenheim and Bad Reichenhall, the warning even applies until 2 a.m.

In a strip between Pforzheim and Lörrach, heavy rain, hail and heavy gusts of wind up to hurricane-like gusts of 95 to 110 km/h must be expected until 10 p.m.
This also applies to the entire Saarland as well as large parts of Rhineland-Palatinate, the southwest of Hesse to Gießen and in North Rhine-Westphalia the area south of Aachen, around Kleve and between Bonn, Siegen, Hamm and Essen.

In Baden-Württemberg, the storm situation has eased a little for the time being and has moved east.
The official level 3 severe weather warning currently applies to several districts in southern Bavaria.

In the course of the afternoon and evening, however, severe thunderstorms with hurricane gusts, heavy rain and hail are still possible.

There is currently a red alert in Baden-Württemberg. The DWD has issued an official level 3 storm warning for some districts, especially in the south-east of the state on the border with Bavaria.
It is warned of "severe thunderstorms with hurricane gusts, heavy rain and hail".

In Baden-Württemberg, the German Weather Service (DWD) expects heavy rain.
