The extreme weather of the past few days is taking a break.

Only in one area in Germany can it get uncomfortable again on Tuesday.

The storms of the past few days initially seem to be over, they say goodbye together with the warm temperatures.

So early summer is taking a break in Germany.

A maximum of 23 degrees is possible in the next few days, at the end of the week the 20-degree mark will be cracked less and less, as the German Weather Service in Offenbach announced.

On Tuesday there can be short thunderstorms from Emsland to the North Sea, stormy gusts are possible.

The thunderstorms have mostly moved out of Germany.

The German Weather Service (DWD) warns of heavy rain, small-grain hail and gusts of wind between 70 and 85 km/h in an area between Schweinfurt, Nordhausen, Bad Hersfeld and Weimar until midnight.

Around Passau and south of Bad Reichenhall, heavy rain, small-grain hail and heavy gusts of wind up to 90 km/h can occur until 11:30 p.m.

In the northwest between Meppen and Leer there can be heavy rain and gusts of wind around 70 km/h until 11.30 p.m.

Thunderstorms over Germany: large parts of the south and west are affected by the severe weather warning

There is now a risk of severe storms around Munich.

Here, the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts heavy rain, small-grain hail and hurricane-like gusts of up to 110 km/h until 9 p.m.

This also applies to Saarland, most of Rhineland-Palatinate and the area between Aachen and Bonn.

Almost all of Hesse (apart from an eastern strip) and the north, east and west of North Rhine-Westphalia are also threatened.

In a strip between Pforzheim and Lörrach, heavy rain, hail and heavy gusts of wind up to hurricane-like gusts of 95 to 110 km/h must be expected until 10 p.m.
