Games and fun for families and help for Ukrainian children are the focus of this year's Tollhub Festival at Gut Hub in Penzberg.

It starts next Friday, May 27th, with cabaret in the Tenne.

Penzberg

- For two years, ideas were discussed, processes discussed and program items defined - mostly at online meetings.

Not long ago, the members of the organization team, Evi Mummert, Andi Mummert, Sandra Baumgartner and Michael Zöller, met with the local helpers to discuss the organization of the three-day festival and to define responsibilities.

The cabaret artist Andreas Rebers, who will be showing his program "I'm happy to help" on Friday, will start things off.

Tickets are still available in advance (“Wohnkultur Baumgartner”, Tel 08856/82091, 25 euros).

Alternative market on Saturday with lots of play stations, music and stands

With many play stations for young and old and an alternative market, Saturday, May 28, is designed even more for families than usual.

Hobby artists, schools and clubs have registered for the market.

At one stand, children will make donation boxes and ask visitors for money for Ukrainian children.

"Four wins" in an extra large version, roller slides, stilt walks and much more are set up on the meadow and supervised by helpers.

If you want, you can take part in the wrangling of the Penzberg wrestlers (4 p.m.).

Dance performances by the Iffeldorf and Penzberg youth guards, the “Pettersson and Findus” puppet theater (3 p.m., box office) and a storyteller (2 p.m.) will entertain the youngsters.

Beathotel plays on Saturday, Williams Wetsox on Sunday

Live music lures in the beer garden and in the coffee and cake corner.

In this area, great attention is paid to sustainability.

The coffee mugs are made of edible material - "taste like a biscuit", says Evi Mummert.

The plates are made from palm leaves and are therefore compostable.

"We deliberately dispensed with the crockery mobile," adds Andi Mummert.

From 6 p.m. there is a party atmosphere with "Beathotel", known for rock'n'roll and Beatles songs.

The band "Williams Wetsox" has been engaged for the Weisswurst morning pint on Sunday, May 29th, starting at 10:30 am.

The festival takes place in any weather.

Organizers ask: Come by bike

Since many hundreds of visitors are expected on Saturday, the organizers would be happy if many came by bike or combined their visit with a hike.

Those who rely on the car are asked to use the designated parking spaces.

HAP's successor company, Winning, will make its parking spaces available again on Saturday.
