Tung Chung Man Takes Corgi for a Walk

Tung Chung suspected of animal cruelty.

At about 2 am today (27th), a man surnamed Zhang (28 years old) went out with his girlfriend's "Gorgie" dog. During a walk in Lungjing Tau Village, Tung Chung Road, he was suddenly bitten on the hand by the dog. He was so angry that he beat the dog with his hands, and some passers-by witnessed the incident and called the police for help.

After the police arrived to investigate, Zhang Nan was arrested on suspicion of "cruel treatment of animals" and handed over to the Lantau Police District Criminal Investigation Team to follow up. Zhang Nan refused to be sent to the hospital, and the dog was taken away by the animal protection association for inspection.
