Unable to travel in reverse and was arrested: a 16-year-old tried to steal a bus from the central bus station in Ashdod
An indictment was filed against a Be'er Sheva resident who broke into the central bus station in Ashdod after hours of activity in an attempt to steal a bus.
He propelled the vehicle and started driving backwards but was unable to get out of the parking lot and got stuck on another bus parked there.
The boy was detained by a citizen who was at the scene and later arrested by the police

An indictment was filed today (Thursday) against a 16-year-old boy from Be'er Sheva who tried to steal a bus parked at the central bus station in Ashdod.
According to the indictment, the boy propelled the bus and started driving backwards but was unable to get out of the parking lot and got stuck on another bus parked there.
The boy entered the central station after hours, in order to steal a bus, and was stopped by a citizen who was at the scene and foresaw what was happening.
He was later arrested by police who were called to the scene.
The indictment further states that after the boy was brought to the police station he threatened a policeman who would stab and kill him.

Police said that "the suspect broke into a public bus with the intention of stealing it, started it and started driving after but was unable to get out of the parking lot. He was later arrested by Ashdod police."
