Shooting spree at a US elementary school: the assassin apparently sent messages to girls from Frankfurt

An 18-year-old killed 21 people, including 19 children, in a shooting spree in Ulvade, Texas.

He had previously announced the act to a girl from Frankfurt.

Frankfurt – Uvalde's killing spree caused great horror across the borders of the USA.

An 18-year-old killed a total of 21 people in an elementary school in the small Texas town.

19 of them were children, plus two teachers from Robb Elementary School.

Now the US news channel CNN reports that the shooter was in contact with a girl from Frankfurt shortly before the crime.

Accordingly, the gunman has been communicating with the 15-year-old via social networks and Facetime since the beginning of May.

He sent her videos of himself and said he wanted to come to Europe soon, as reported by fnp.de.

She perceived him as a friendly person who was apparently a loner, the 15-year-old from Frankfurt told CNN.

However, there was also frightening news.

In one case, the young man told her that he had "thrown dead cats on other people's houses".

Gunman hinted at US elementary school shooting

Shortly before the crime in Uvalde, where the 18-year-old shot himself on Tuesday (May 24), the perpetrator is said to have complained about his grandmother via text message to the 15-year-old from Frankfurt.

Then he told the girl that he had shot the 66-year-old in the head.

This is said to have happened about 30 minutes before the children and teachers were shot.

The woman survived.

In a last message to the 15-year-old, the shooter finally announced that he wanted to shoot himself in an elementary school.

According to investigators, the 18-year-old had already bought two assault rifles and ammunition in a shop within a few days in March.

Another incident in the Texan city of Richardson caused a stir on Wednesday (May 25).

Police were informed of a youth who was walking towards a school with guns.

The suspected student was finally picked up by the police at school – but no weapons were found on him, a statement said.

However, officers found guns in the trunk of the suspect's car in the parking lot.

The youth was arrested.

The police did not release any further details.
