A Porsche driver caused an accident on Father's Day in the district of Erding.

The man then ran away and had to be stopped by the police.

The mid-thirties had 2.2 per mil alcohol.

Now he's in real trouble.

Eicherloh - The local connecting road from Niederneuching to Eicherloh runs dead straight for kilometers.

On Thursday, a man from the southern district raced towards Eicherloh in his white Porsche SUV.

A good kilometer behind Niederneuching, he lost control of the Cayenne around 4 p.m.

This came off the road to the right, drove through a meadow and then hit a group of trees.

Several trunks buckled and the Porsche tipped on its side.

Cyclists who happened to be passing called the emergency number.

Meanwhile, the driver, in his mid-30s, crawled through the tailgate and tried to escape.

Witnesses pointed the way to the police, who had arrived with three vehicles.

A few meters later, the officers managed to stop the driver.

Miraculously, he was only slightly injured.

However, a rapid alcohol test showed a value of 2.2 per mille.

Because the alarm had said that there were still occupants in the wreck that was starting to burn, the Erding control center ordered several ambulances, the rescue helicopter Christoph Munich and the Niederneuching, Eicherloh, Moosinning and Altenerding fire brigades to the scene of the accident.

The Cayenne had to be salvaged by the fire brigade and towing company in the early evening.

When the paramedics wanted to take care of the man, he became recalcitrant.

Eventually he was admitted to the Erding Clinic.

Because of the drastic intoxication, the Porsche driver will lose his driver's license for several months, if not irrevocably.

The judiciary decides that.

In addition, the insurance will not replace the damage of several 10,000 euros.

The man has to answer for drunk driving, traffic hazard and accident escape.
