Across Germany with the 9-euro ticket from Regensburg?

This will soon be possible for everyone - however, depending on the destination, patience will be required.

Regensburg – The 9-euro ticket from the relief package 2022 will be valid from June 1st. You can then travel across Germany for three months for 9 euros each.

However, there are also exceptions: A trip to Salzburg (Austria) is also possible with the cheap ticket.

However, the 9-euro ticket is only valid for local transport, it is not valid for the ICE.

For train passengers, this means that if you want to travel through Germany for 9 euros, you have to plan a lot of time for certain routes.

From Nuremberg to Sylt, for example, it takes almost 13 hours and five changes are necessary.
