Member of the Military and Civil Administration Council of the Zaporozhye region Vladimir Rogov emphasized that the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will never return to the control of the Kyiv regime, which also lost access to the Sea of Azov.
"Ukraine has lost access to the Sea of Azov forever, and the ports in the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will never again be under the control of the Ukrainian authorities," Rogov was quoted as saying by the RIA Novosti news agency.
"I am sure that after the reunification of our region with Russia, the Sea of Azov will again return by sea within the borders of Russia, because before it was a sea within the borders of the Russian Federation," Rogov added.
Earlier, the Permanent Representative of Crimea to the President of Russia, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Crimea, Georgy Muradov, said that after the liberation of Mariupol, the Sea of Azov became a joint sea of Russia and the Donetsk People's Republic.
In a related context, Russian State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet said that granting Russian citizenship to residents of Kherson and Zaporozhye regions proves once again that Russia will not leave and will not leave the liberated lands without protection.
In an interview with RIA Novosti, Sheremet said, "Facilitating the granting of Russian citizenship is an important, just and fateful decision, which is primarily to protect citizens living in the liberated lands and proves once again that Russia will not leave the liberated lands without protection, and we will not abandon the people."
Sheremet pointed out that integration with Russia opens new possibilities for development for the liberated lands.
Yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree facilitating the granting of Russian citizenship to residents of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.
