The traditional date at the beginning of January had to be moved to the merry month due to the corona pandemic.

Many people in Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen are being supported with the “Leser helfen helfen” fundraising campaign.

At the end, folk musicians play at a benefit concert for a good cause.

Ascholding – A familiar event at a completely unusual time: That was the benefit folk music evening on Wednesday in the hall of the Ascholdinger Gasthaus Holzwirt.

For 30 years there was this musical rendezvous as part of the fundraising campaign "Leser helfen helfen" launched by Isar-Loisachbote/Geretsrieder Merkur and Tölzer Kurier every year at the end of Christmas around Epiphany.

After the corona pandemic had prevented this twice in a row, a new date that was more realistic in view of the restrictions was targeted: May 25th.

The well-known folk music benefit concert “Between the Years” thus became “Folk Music in May”.

Toni Kometer guided the visitors of the benefit concert through the evening with a lot of humor.

The good purpose of the matter has remained the same, emphasized the editor-in-chief of the Tölzer Kurier, Veronika Ahn-Tauchnitz, in front of numerous visitors in the Holzwirt hall.

She gave a few examples of assistance that Ahn-Tauchnitz emphasized was only possible thanks to the great willingness of the citizens to donate every year.

This willingness to donate was immediately followed by the evening's participants, who all performed free of charge.

1605s, that is, dashing sounds from Jachenau: Stefan Müller (ziach), Vroni Schwaiger (harp), Martin Oswald (tuba), Sepp Spiel (bass trumpet), Klaus Rauchenberger (flugelhorn) and Stefan Rinner (flugelhorn).

The six-piece 1605er Musi from Jachenau delivered the lively start with the Oberländer March - and with their powerful sound combination of wind instruments, ziach and harp they found exactly the right mood for the program, in which spring and the upcoming Almzeit were of course the focus.

The Starnberger Fischerbuam also enriched the evening "Folk Music in May".

The fact that "de Liab" and "de Jagerei" are included was clearly expressed in the songs by Heuwinkl-Zwoagsang and the Starnberger Fischerbuam.

Whereby the fishermen brought along a rarely heard song about fishing, in accordance with their origin and their name: "Bua, Hansl, mach weida, let's go to sea, while fishing, while towing, it's nice," it said a stanza.

The Heuwinkel Zwoagsang impressed with the Marienlied "Eh der Himmel ist sich": Hubert Exinger, Christina Hein, zither accompaniment Christian Eisner.

On the subject of love, moderator Toni Kometer also intervened, who generally always had the laughs on his side with a series of witty and lively verses: The spring fever that supposedly surges through marrow and limbs could actually just be rheumatism, depending on the year, Kometer summed up dryly .

The Geigenmusi workshop played with verve and precision: (from left) Stephani Kocher, Lucia Müller (16), Lena Oswald (15), Vroni Kellner (11, all violins), Georg Feile (13, guitar), Johannes Fahrner ( 11, double bass) and music teacher Sepp Müller.

The young workshop violin musicians from Lenggries also presented themselves with a lot of verve and precision - the five young musicians and their two music teachers received special applause for the double "Du bist a Süassa", which was cheerfully played and sung with a safe alternating beat.

The morning on harp duo enchanted the audience at the benefit concert in Ascholding with expressive melodies: Martina Gistl (left) and Regina Schauer.

The Früah-auf-Harfenmusi and the Schliffboch-Musi contributed beautiful and very expressive melodies to the benefit concert - the latter always set special accents with the changing use of their instruments.

The Schliffboch Musi set special accents: Ludwig Bosch (diatonic harmonica), Elisabeth Gloggner (harp), Florian Gloggner (guitar), Elisabeth Obermüller (double bass) and Barbara Hagn (dulcimer).

Like all musicians, the Schliffboch Musi waived their fee in favor of those in need in the district.

As is well known, the worship of Mary is anchored in the folk music treasure - in this sense, on the evening before Ascension Day, in a short section of the program after the break, melodies and songs in honor of the Blessed Mother were heard, such as the fine "Eh der Himmel sich ist" from the Heuwinkl Zwoagsang .

At the end of the evening "Folk Music in May" the refreshing, spirited style returned, and at the end there was a yodel sung together with the audience, which music teacher Sepp Müller intoned.

Even after the official end of the event, the singers and musicians were in the best of moods for making music and singing, much to the delight of the numerous guests.
