There were many beaming faces on Friday at the Moosburg High School: 65 high school graduates received their grades there - and lots of praise from their teachers.

Moosburg

- "We are very happy and very proud," said headmistress Claudia Theumer, beaming with joy, when the grades of the Abitur examinations were announced at the Moosburg grammar school on Friday: 24 students out of a total of 65 had a 1 before the decimal point.

And the overall grade point average was “very good” at 2.1.

Accordingly, students and teachers were equally beaming - above all the four best of the year Felicitas Ambros (1.0), Leonard Göbel (1.1), Benedikt Prexl (1.3) and Alina Schmidt (1.3).

Alina Schmidt (19) spoke of a "stressful, but still very nice time".

She is "glad it's all over" and would be happy if a "Work & Travel" year works out, maybe in New Zealand.

Then she wants to study.

Leonard Göbel (17) would like to take part in the pilot test before August and fulfill his dream of becoming a pilot.

If that doesn't work, studying medicine would be an option.

Felicitas Ambros (18) would also like to study medicine - after her federal voluntary service, which she is completing in Landshut.

Benedikt Prexl (17) tends to study forestry.

But now everyone is looking forward to some relaxation, vacation and partying.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.

Bernadette Hohe, who took over the position of upper school coordinator from Karl Rauscher this school year and therefore only supervised the graduates for one year instead of the usual two, spoke of a “fair Abitur” that had to be mastered this year – and of a “super year “, who mastered the challenges with flying colours.

Claudia Theumer got into the same horn: "Everyone got through it well" and there would have been "no corona failures".

In general, the Absolvia would have mastered the pandemic period well.

The homeschooling period was not always easy, but the young people also benefited and “acquired great media skills”.

Felicitas Ambros also praised the teachers at her school: "We were well prepared for the exams."

By the way: The chances that everyone will pass the Abitur are not bad, stressed Hohe.

But "a few" still have to go through the oral exams.
